Tropical perennial that is related to Justicias. This unusual plant is easy to grow and propagate but not easy to find in nurseries. It flowers throughout the year and provides nectar for birds and insects hence the name it has in Brazil "Humminbird Flower".
Not as cold tolerant as justicias but will grow all the way down the coast to Sydney in a protected position.
