Curtispatha is considered endangered in the wild. We imported the seeds in so it's quite rare. Curtispatha is a large chunky heliconia with a semi spiraling pendulous inflorescence. Tends to set seed with large beautiful purple seed occurring after flowering.
These are seed grown plants.

Heliconia Curtispatha
5 December 2023Beautiful heliconia, very healthy and well packed. Acclimate for a month before planting in the ground and don't over water it. Young heliconias will rot very quickly if given too mach water. I know, I have killed few of them.
