This beautiful Medinilla is often confused with and sold as Medinilla magnifica. It lacks the bracts of magnifica and is generally a bit hardier. It is rather large growing for a medinilla and flowers prolifically off the stems as well as at the ends of branches.
It grows relatively easily in a tropical or subtropical part shade environment and is often used as an indoor plant. Medinillas are perfect for growing in pots.
