Sky Blue Flowers Shaped Like Butterflies
Clerodendrum ugandense is also know as Blue Butterfly Bush becuase of it's unsual blue flowers. Originally from tropical Africa it has been in cultivation for 100 years but is regaining popularity because it is fast growing, relatively pest free and has such unusual flowers.
Prune to maintain it's shape or alternatively it makes a good sprwling shrub for screening. Does best in a frost free climate but will grow back from the roots in light frost areas.
