Detailed Description Alpinia Formosana is an elegant pinstripe alpinia with upright shell flowers. Makes an excellent landscaping plant in part shade conditions. Can be used massed or individually. One of my favorites. Grows to about 1 1/2 meters. Relatively cold hardy.
